Fundraising Project: Cars in the Park - 3 August 2008About 3000 classic and veteran cars were on display to celebrate the history of the car at the 28th Cars in the Park show at Zwartkop Raceway.
This year there were an amusement park and Land Rover owners will be doing their thing at the 4x4 facility of the track. There was also a special exhibition of Model T Fords.
General Motors celebrated its centenary with a special parade of classic GM brands, including Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
CITP is the biggest event of its kind in Africa with collectors from more than 90 motor clubs displaying and there was no shortage of food, beer and other refreshments. More than 15 000 people attended the event. |
